The BEATRIZ BALL Collection started in 1991 when Beatriz began working hand-in-hand with skilled metalware artisans in the outskirts of Mexico City. Together, they created innovative designs in a special lustrous alloy of many metals.

Each piece from Beatriz Ball is made entirely by hand, one at a time, using the ancient art of sand casting: pouring a premium quality alloy of molten aluminum into sand molds, and then going through four levels of polishing. More than twelve different sets of hands are involved in the creation of each piece, and the result of this intensely handmade process is a piece with a depth of character, warmth and personality that communicates in a way that only a handmade piece can.

Nestled in the shadow of the long inactive Toluca Volcano, the foundry is devoted to making products by hand, one piece at a time. Using the same casting method used by Romans and Greeks to create masterpieces, molten aluminum alloy is poured into individual sand molds, and hand polished to a deep lustrous finish. We believe that each piece in the Beatriz Ball Collection speaks for itself, unfolding a story of the creativity of the artists who designed it, and the skill of the craftsmen who manufactured it.
